The Best Shopping Areas In London!

London is an incredible city for so many reasons, with one of the highlights being the shopping! There are areas all over London that offer exceptional shopping, no matter what it is you’re looking for, and we’re here to introduce a few of them to you. From Oxford Street to Mayfair and Brick Lane, we’ve got you covered, for every budget and every sense of style out there. So, let’s get into it and help you find your newest fashion favourites!

Oxford Street – The Best For Everything!

First up we have Oxford Street, which is an incredible place for every kind of shopping! You can access Oxford Street really easily, through Oxford Street London parking or by getting the tube or train into Oxford Circus. The street has over 300 shops, so there really is something for everyone. We would advise avoiding Oxford Street over the weekend if possible, as there are over half a million visitors a day on average and this is probably even more over the weekend! However, it is an incredible place all of the time.

There is literally everything from high street fashion to designer boutiques, stunning department stores and delicious chocolate shops, so you really can get everything you need from Oxford Street. Not to mention, there are so many delicious restaurants, bars and cafes all in and around Oxford Street, so you can stop for much needed refreshment so you make the most of the day!

Covent Garden – The Best For Markets!

Next up we have Covent Garden, which is an absolute must visit. There are plenty of stunning shops all around Covent Garden, but the highlight is the stunning central building which helps to merge the indoor and outdoor areas. The upper level of the market has some classic British shops, and then the lower section often features live musicians and very quaint little shops, along with seating from the local cafe. You can then head to Covent Garden market, where you can find stunning handmade gifts from local stalls that make the perfect gifts for loved ones or London souvenirs for yourself! Overall, Covent Garden makes a beautiful day out, even if Shopping is just a small part of it.

Mayfair – The Best For Designer Shops!

If you’re looking for designer shops, then head to Mayfair. Most streets that you walk through will have different designer boutiques, from handbags to jewellery and skincare to homeware. This is one of the most affluent areas of London, and the shopping certainly doesn’t disappoint. There isn’t particularly a central shopping hub, but be prepared to have a leisurely stroll around, pop in and out of shops and make the most of what Mayfair has to offer. Don’t be afraid to get a bit dressed up and then stop for a spot of lunch in one of the many delicious restaurants. Expect to pay a bit more being in Mayfair, yet there are more affordable lunch options if you look out for them. Even if you don’t buy anything when in Mayfair, this offers a much quieter shopping experience where you can take in the scenery and really enjoy some wonderful window shopping in one of London’s most iconic areas.

Brick Lane – The Best For Vintage!

Last but not least, if you’re a vintage shopping fan, then you’ve got to head to Brick Lane. Brick Lane is lined with different vintage shops, so you are likely to gain a vintage shopping experience like you have never had before. With something for every budget and style, from vintage denim to 1950’s style and vintage jewellery, you are certain to come away with some stunning and sustainable wardrobe staples. There are really great and quirky restaurants and cafes around Brick Lane, so make sure to have a taste of this whilst you’re around. Kahaila is a great community-minded cafe with really great food and an even better ethos, so if you’re in need of a calming lunch, this is the place to go.

One of our favourite vintage shops on Brick Lane is quite easy to remember, as it’s called Brick Lane vintage! This place has so much character, as well as choices for every budget, from vintage sneakers to designer jeans and cheap jewellery. This is definitely worth a visit whilst in Brick Lane and it’s one of our best travel tips for London, even if you’re not into vintage clothes! We’re sure this is enough to convince you to choose more vintage pieces for your wardrobe, so head to Brick Lane and we know you’ll fall in love.
