New bridge in sight in the second week of November, although this time only local . With Madrid at the head for being the festivity of its patron saint, the Virgen de la Almudena , other smaller municipalities in the region as well as in the Spanish geography also acquire this date as a day of discharge. Along with May 15, for this November 9, Madrid capital welcomes its great festive date on the calendar. This virgin had been hidden in the 8th century by the Christians, in the face of the Muslim threat, and she emerged as a great figure of Alfonso VI when he reconquered the city almost 300 years later.
